Ways to recognize a financial pyramid are named

Lawyer Anna Konyaeva: special services legal due diligence of the company. To recognize an unscrupulous partner, you can use special services, for example, “Kontur.Fokus” or VLSI. This method was named by the managing partner of the law firm CPO group Anna Konyaeva in a commentary to the “Secret Firmy” publication amid news that the ballerina Anastasia Volochkova invested three million rubles in a large financial pyramid QBF.

The lawyer proposed to request accounting and financial statements from the company, including balances for the last three years with a stamp of the tax service of acceptance, and corporate documents – the charter, minutes of meetings, internal regulations of the company. It is also worth paying attention to the existence of legal cases against the company. Assistance in obtaining the necessary information will be provided by the State Automated System “Justice” or a card file of arbitration cases.

Information on debt to the budget is available through the service of the Federal Tax Service “Transparent Business”. Potential clients should be alarmed by the presence of protracted corporate conflicts, blocked accounts, recent changes in the company's management, its relocation or low financial stability, the expert added.

Konyaeva urged to carefully read the agreement before signing and pay attention to the money-back guarantee and mechanisms to secure the transaction, which may be property pledges, sureties, or fines. She recommends agreeing on the terms of the phased implementation of the project, prescribing information about which the company must inform the investor, and the procedure for exiting the project.

If the party does not provide additional guarantees of repayment of funds, then such a project should be abandoned, the lawyer says. It is very important for an investor to ensure their safety, to anticipate and minimize risks.

Dmitry Tarasov, Head of the Center for Macroeconomic Analysis of Rosselkhozbank, advised investors to invest in banking products. For these purposes, he recommends large banks – from the top 30, and preferably from the top 10.

Mikhail Galenin, an analyst at the investment company Aton, urged to pay attention, first of all, to the life of the company and not refer money for a company under 10-15 years old. If an organization was formed three or four years ago against the backdrop of an investment boom, you should check whether it has a license from the Central Bank.

On November 17, Anastasia Volochkova filed a complaint with the Moscow police about stealing two million rubles from it by members of the QBF investment company. The ballerina invested in June 2020, and even managed to get an interest on the deposit. In August 2021, she planned to return the money, but brokers stopped communicating.
