An image of a new city will appear on a commemorative ten-ruble coin

The Bank of Russia will issue a new commemorative coin with the image of Borovichi

the city of Borovichi (Novgorod region). This is reported by the portal 53news.ru.

In the foreground of the reverse side of the ten-ruble coin there will be a relief dedicated to the memorial sign in honor of the hospital city. In the background there is an image of the arched bridge of Belelyubsky across the Mstu River.

The circulation of such a coin will be one million copies. It is planned to be made of steel with a brass galvanized coating of the usual minting quality.

It is noted that the series “Cities of Labor Valor” includes coins depicting four Russian cities – Borovichi, Yekaterinburg, Omsk and Ivanovo.

Earlier in August, during excavations in Veliko Novgorod, archaeologists discovered the basement of the chamber of Archbishop Vasily Kalika of the 12th-13th centuries with old coins, chandelier links (lighting device) and a ring with a lion. According to experts, the finds date back to the Middle Ages.
