Former Deputy Minister Rakova accused of fictitious employment at RANEPA

Ministry of Internal Affairs: ex-deputy head of the Ministry of Education Rakova charged with a new episode for 20 million

Rakova and the former deputy general director of the Fund for New Forms of Education Development Yevgeniy Zak. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

They were charged with fraud related to fictitious employment of people at the Russian Academy of National Economy and Civil Service (RANEPA). According to the investigation, they entered into a criminal conspiracy with the director of the Institute of Social Sciences of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration Sergei Zuev and signed forged employment contracts with 12 employees of the Ministry of Education, who are allegedly part-time researchers of the university.

From 2018 to 2020. these persons received 20 million rubles as a salary.

Rakova has already been charged in connection with her husband's fictitious employment. According to the investigation, in 2017, as the general director of the Fund for New Forms of Education Development, she registered her husband there, who received nine million rubles as a salary in two years. She is also charged with fraud with government contracts in the field of education worth more than 150 million rubles.

On October 7, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow arrested Rakova for two months, until December 6. Zuev was also detained.
