A 30-year-old Russian suspected of murdering his ex-wife was detained in Saratov 
A 30-year-old Russian suspected of murder was arrested in Saratov 22 -year-old ex-wife and attempted murder of her boyfriend. This was reported on Friday, November 19, by the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR).
According to the investigation, on the evening of November 18, the suspect inflicted many stab and cut wounds to his ex-wife in the chest, neck and abdomen, and then stabbed her 37-year-old partner in the head several times. The victim of the crime died on the spot, the man was hospitalized.
According to the newspaper “Vzglyad-info”, the man and his victim had constant disputes over who the children would be after the divorce. At the time of the murder, their two-year-old daughter was in the house.
In the course of operational and investigative measures, the detectives got on the trail of the attacker. It turned out that before the crime, he took his eldest four-year-old daughter to stay with him and, before going to his ex-wife, left her with friends.
The TFR opened a criminal case for murder with particular cruelty and attempted murder. Currently, the suspect has been detained, and the question of placing him in a pre-trial detention center is being decided.
