In Moscow, auditor Elena Loss was arrested in absentia, who deceived the daughter of cosmonaut Tereshkova Loss, accused under Article 159 (“Large-scale fraud”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. This was reported on Friday, November 19, TASS reports
According to the agency, the Presnensky court ruled to detain the Russian woman for two months – from the moment of her arrest by law enforcement officers. A similar decision was made in relation to another person involved in the case – the general director of the company “Probiopharma” Liya Muradova. Among the victims of the accused in the scam are Elena Tereshkova, the daughter of the first woman-cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova, and Senator Dmitry Savelyev.
The fact that Elena Loss became a defendant in a criminal case about a particularly large fraud became known on October 6, when the auditor was put on the wanted list. According to the investigation, her company RSM-Rus tried to kidnap the Pharmservice company, which has the rights to major developments of probiotics and trademarks of popular products, including Bifidok.
The criminal case was opened by the Moscow Department of the Investigation committee of Russia after the statement of Tereshkova and Savelyev, who were previously business partners of Loss. They accidentally found out that their company, Pharmservice, had new owners.
