Mir: Russians wait the longest for electric trains, metro trains arrive the fastest

on average, Russians spend waiting for public transport. The survey involved 800 people over 18 years old. The results of the study are published by RIA Novosti.

It turned out that Russians have to wait the longest for a train, on average it takes 20 minutes. Ground transport arrives almost twice as fast: buses, minibuses, trams and trolleybuses wait an average of 12 minutes.

However, the fastest public transport, according to most respondents, turned out to be subway trains: they arrive in less than in five minutes. This was the answer of 70 percent of residents of large cities.

At the same time, the duration of trips for users of surface transport and metro is approximately the same. On average, they spend 20 to 30 minutes on the road by bus or tram and up to 27 minutes by metro. Longer trips for commuters (on average 45 minutes).

Previously, Moscow became the third city in the world in terms of transport development. McKinsey looked at cities with a population of more than 5 million people, a gross regional product per capita of more than $ 10 thousand and the number of cars more than 150 per 1,000 people. The report, according to the authors of the study, allows you to compare Moscow with the rest of the world's megacities and understand what should be paid attention to in the first place.
