Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan revealed the details of his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin about the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Armenian government.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, Pashinyan, in an interview with Putin, presented the latest development of events on the border of the two countries. He stressed that the actions of the Azerbaijani military are aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia. The prime minister also noted the extreme importance of the Armenian-Russian partnership in the current conditions. In addition, at the meeting, Pashinyan reaffirmed Yerevan's adherence to the trilateral statements of November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021.
Prior to this, the Kremlin press service announced a telephone conversation between the leaders of the two countries. The published message specifies that the conversation took place on the initiative of the Armenian side. It was noted that during the conversation, Putin and Pashinyan paid attention to the situation that developed after a number of incidents on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
Earlier, the Armenian Defense Ministry stated that the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border was stabilized thanks to the mediation of Russia.
