Zelensky sets payments for vaccinated Ukrainians

President of Ukraine Zelensky: vaccinated against COVID-19 will receive one thousand hryvnia in the Diya application

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky countries that have received two vaccinations against coronavirus will receive from the state a thousand hryvnia (about 38 dollars or 2,700 rubles). The head of the republic announced this in a video message on his Telegram channel.

Zelensky signed the video message with the words “some good news.” The President announced that he had established payments for vaccinated Ukrainians. Citizens vaccinated with two doses of the drug from COVID-19 will receive one thousand hryvnia “quickly and conveniently through the Diya application” (“Action” – approx. “Lenta.ru”).

The program will be launched on December 19. For its implementation by the end of 2021, about three billion hryvnia will be allocated, the same amount – at the beginning of 2022. According to the Ukrainian president, citizens who do not have an application or a smartphone will receive payments in a different way.

Earlier, Zelensky asked Ukrainians to “turn off social networks and turn on the brain.” He also called on citizens to get vaccinated against coronavirus amid rising incidence in the country. “I want us not to be afraid of horror stories in the networks, but to be afraid of the coronavirus,” he stressed.
