Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Sberbank with the 180th anniversary.
“I would like to congratulate the collective of many thousands on a significant, anniversary date – on November 12, 1841, savings banks were established in Russia, from which the history of Sberbank began. For 180 years, it has always remained, and I am sure it will continue to be a truly people's bank, a financial institution of systemic importance for the economy of our country. Suffice it to say that Sberbank has more than 100 million clients, “the head of state said.
The President noted that Sberbank is successfully fulfilling its key mission, while actively and, most importantly, enthusiastically, it promotes the ideas of technological progress.
“Using advanced solutions yourself, you strive to customize the entire Sberbank ecosystem around a person, and set an example of the large-scale changes that are taking place all over the world. Before our eyes, a fundamentally different paradigm of the activities of companies, enterprises, entire industries is emerging – the task is no longer simply to bring a new product to the market, to build effective production and business models. The main thing now is to focus all work on the interest and needs of a particular consumer, “Putin said.
According to him, not a product or service, but a person becomes the center of all economic processes. This transformation affects not only the economy, but also the social sphere, the system of public administration, the president is sure.
“Big data and AI play a key role here, of course. The one who makes the best use of the powerful technical potential in the interests of people and their well-being wins in global competition. And we must be among the leaders here. Our companies, including Sberbank, use unique solutions in healthcare and education, in ecology and agriculture, in industry and transport, ”concluded the head of state.
