In Kiev, activists of the National Corps held a rally against the house arrest of Viktor Medvedchuk

In Kiev, near the building of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) activists “National Corps” (banned on the territory of Russia) held a protest action against the house arrest of Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the political council of the Opposition Platform – For Life (Opposition Platform – For Life) party. Ukrainian journalist Andriy Pavlovsky announced this in his Telegram channel.

Ukrainian radicals opposed the measure of restraint, which the court chose Medvedchuk instead of imprisonment in jail. They also mentioned the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the OPLZ Ilya Kivu and called his statements “contrary to common sense and national security” of Ukraine.

Prior to that, Ilya Kiva was detained in Kiev by Ukrainian security forces, against whom a criminal case of treason had been initiated earlier. The reason for the investigation into the deputy was his congratulatory video message to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
