Legoida: the ROC considers the use of contraceptive pills a sin worthy of repentance 
The Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) considers the use of believers need to repent. This statement was made by the chairman of the Synodal Department for Church Relations with Society and the Moscow Patriarchate, Vladimir Legoyda, in an interview with RTVI TV channel, he is quoted by RIA Novosti.

In addition, Legoyda stressed that from the point of view of the Russian Orthodox Church and any religious organization , abortion is murder unless medically indicated. “This is the wording: when we understand that the fetus will not survive, by 200%,” he said.
The representative of the Russian Orthodox Church also said that the traditional religions of Russia will never agree to recognize abortion. According to him, today this is the official position of the church. “We are not waging a war against – I would say that the church stands for, for life,” Legoyda said.
In July, the Russian Orthodox Church proposed to ban abortions for women with incomes above the subsistence level. In addition, the priests proposed to legislate the requirement for compulsory ultrasound examinations (ultrasound) and listening to the fetal heartbeat for women who want to have an abortion.
