A test survey using electronic questionnaires will be held in 2018, the newspaper “Izvestia”. The main goal of the project is to find out how effectively you will work with new ways of collecting information before the forthcoming all-Russian population census 2020.
Entering electronic data collection, the economic development Ministry plans to reduce the cost of the event and to increase the coverage of the population, as during previous censuses not all citizens were able to find at home. New methods will be tested in several regions. Expect to interview about 300 thousand people. The need for a new approach emerged when, as Rosstat said that the coming census will cost 50 billion roubles that three times exceeds the budget of the previous data collection, which was conducted 7 years ago.
