This is the worst result for United world Championships (freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling) held since 2005. On the last tournament, the Russian team has won ten awards —
five silver and five bronze.
The wrestlers won five medals: silver in the asset Abdulrashid Sadulayeva (weight category up to 97 pounds), Getica of Tabolova (74) and Gadzhimurad Rashidov (61); a bronze award in the asset Gogaev Alan (65) and Vladislav Valiev (86). Thus, for the first time since 1953, the Russian freestyle wrestlers have not won a single victory at the world Cup.
Representatives of the Greco-Roman wrestlers also won five awards. The silver medal went to Aleksandr Chirkin (75) and Musa Evloev (98), and Artem Surkov (66), Steman Maranan (59) and Valeria Lisinska (63) finished third.
