The United States expanded sanctions list on North Korea. It included four citizens of Russia. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
Under the restrictive measures of the Department of the U.S. Treasury Department’s foreign assets control (OFAC) fell Ruben Kirakosyan associated with companies Gefest-M, and the Korea Tangun trading corporation, Irina Hues associated with Velmur management PTE LTD, Andrew Serbin and Michael Peklin. In addition, the sanctions were approved against was in Moscow, the company “Gefest-M”. The list includes five companies from China, two from Namibia and two from Singapore. According to authorities, the persons and companies involved in the development of the DPRK’s nuclear programme.
In June 2017 under the sanctions on North Korea fell Russian Igor Michurin, the CEO of the company Ardis-bearings, and three legal entities — “Independent petroleum company”, “NNK Primornefteprodukt” and Ardis-bearings (LLC “Ardis-Bearing”).
The US has repeatedly stated about the intention of a preemptive strike against the military infrastructure of North Korea. Pyongyang promised in response to the “military provocations of the U.S. to turn to dust” us bases in South Korea and Japan.
