The Embassy confirmed Russian citizenship nine year old boy in the United States

WASHINGTON, 24 Aug — RIA Novosti. Consulate General of Russia in San Francisco confirmed that nine-year-old boy and his dead parents are citizens of Russia, reported the press service of the Embassy of the Russian Federation.

“The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in San Francisco confirms the membership (the children — ed.) and his dead parents to the Russian citizenship”, — noted in mission.

It stressed that “further comment on the circumstances of the case and take steps to protect the interests of a Russian child will come from the staff of the Consulate General in San Francisco.”

The American edition Los Angeles Times reported that police in Los Angeles shot 48-year-old Konstantin Morozov, a suspect in the kidnapping of his nine year old son after killing the boy’s mother. As noted in the police, the child is currently safe.

According to the newspaper, at about 18: 45 on 22 August the police came into contact with Konstantin Morozov, when he left a friend’s house in Encino (near Los Angeles) with his son.
