MOSCOW, August 24. /TASS/. The desire of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to lethal weapons from the United States does not meet its peacekeeping statements. This was announced by the Plenipotentiary of Russia in the contact group on conflict settlement in Ukraine, Boris Gryzlov.
“Once again declared by President Petro Poroshenko’s desire to get from the States new lethal weapons don’t really fit the image of a peacemaker who wants to have a Ukrainian President. Especially inappropriate such statements on the eve of the entry into force on 25 August, the agreement on permanent ceasefire in the Donbass, approved yesterday in Minsk by the contact group and supported by the telephone calls of leaders of “Norman Quartet” on the 22nd of August,” he said.
