Moscow. 21 Aug. INTERFAX.RU — the U.S. Embassy in Moscow announced the suspension of non-immigrant visa on August 23.
This is due to the action of the Russian authorities to limit the number of employees of diplomatic missions of the USA in Russia, said the Embassy.
The procedure for issuing nonimmigrant visas will be renewed, but “significantly reduced” from 1 September this year. Diplomats explained that starting from that day, interviews for nonimmigrant visas will only be held at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow.

As noted in the message, the mission the United States will begin the process of cancellation of interviews for nonimmigrant visa designated in all the US consulates in Russia, beginning at 9:00 Moscow time on August 21.
In addition, as the Embassy stated, “the change in the number of employees of the US diplomatic mission will also affect the schedule of registration number of immigrant visas”.
