In the UK have discovered a rare gold pendant VI century

MOSCOW, 20 Aug — RIA Novosti. An Amateur collector from Britain found in the Eastern England rare gold pendant of VI century with the image of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian, the TV channel Bi-bi-si.

The find was made by a Brit by the name of Pratt, who explored the area in Norfolk with a metal detector. It is assumed that the gold pendant was made in France.

During the download an error has occurred.

“At first it seemed that this is the Golden neck of the bottle, but when I looked closer, I realized that it was something more significant. I understand that it is a gold pendant… very rare. In the UK these (suspensions) find very little”, — quotes the channel as possible.

Specialist archaeological finds Adrian Marsden also confirmed that the found pendant is a rare instance of ancient ornaments and is made of high carat gold.

According to the channel, the discovery will be sent to the British Museum for evaluation.
