Austrian police are investigating the cause of death of two-year-old which 17-year-old mother left in the car in 30-degree heat. On Thursday, August 17, reports APA with reference to the representative of police Fitz Reiner (Rainer Fitz).
The incident occurred on Tuesday, August 15, in the town of Bludenz in the West of Austria. The woman, whose name is not called, told the police that along with his friend came here from Tyrol. In a way the child fell asleep, and when she didn’t want to Wake him. The adults went into the house, which also fell asleep after a long journey, and the boy was left to sleep in the car.
Several hours later, the mother returned to the car, but the child was already dead.
Police believe that the boy died because of the heat, but the exact cause of death will be known after the autopsy. It will hold on Thursday in Innsbruck.
If it is confirmed that the child died from the heat, the mother will be charged with manslaughter, police said.
