The labour Ministry rejected the idea of industry and trade of the “popular” gifts to officials
The Ministry of labour of Russia did not support the proposal of the Ministry of industry and trade on amendments to the Civil code changes that allow officials to receive and keep the gifts more expensive on 3 thousand rubles, if it products of national art crafts (NHP). About it RBC have informed in a press-Department service.
“This proposal will not create preferences for the development of production of Handicrafts, — noted in the Ministry of labor.
The Agency believes that in a society negative attitude to donation of gifts to public servants and other persons subject to the “anti-corruption standards”.
The Ministry of labor noted that by law, officials are prohibited to receive gifts in the form of Handicrafts for Protocol events, business trips and other official events, “but they must be delivered at the place of service (work) state (municipal) servant.”
Earlier on Monday, the newspaper “Izvestia” reported that the Ministry proposed to amend the Civil code changes that allow officials to receive gifts worth 3 thousand if we are talking about folk crafts. The publication reported the development of a roadmap for the development of crafts following the meeting of President Vladimir Putin with representatives of business associations in Novgorod region.
Press Secretary of the head of the Ministry Zalina Kornilova told RBC that the producers of knives and silverware asked that “this provision for production of folk arts and crafts canceled or changed the amount limitations”. Now under the law the officer has received a gift more expensive than 3 thousand roubles, is required to pass it to the person in charge or to purchase at market value.
