Senator Franz Klintsevich announced that Russia at the time, trained in Iran, is able to serve the Russian military equipment. He commented on an article in the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag, who wrote about the breach with Iran resolution of the UN security Council, reports RIA Novosti.
“Russia supplied to Iran a large number of military equipment, which, of course, needs maintenance, maintenance routine. Simultaneously, Russia has been prepared by Iranian experts, who can guarantee them to perform. This training was provided by the contracts for the supply of equipment,” — said the first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security.
According to him, the training was conducted in full compliance with international standards.
In turn, Director of the Center for analysis of world arms trade (TSAMTO) Igor Korotchenko told the Agency that the publication Welt am Sonntag is not true. “It’s a fake information, designed to portray Russia and Iran violators of the well-known resolutions of the UN Security Council. In the military-technical contacts with Tehran, Moscow strictly adheres to the resolutions,” he said. According to the expert, “the purpose of this information provocation is to cast a shadow on Russia and try to discredit Moscow’s efforts for a political and diplomatic resolution of the Syrian crisis.”
Earlier on Sunday, 13 August, the German newspaper, citing sources in Western intelligence services reported that in June the plane from Iran has twice made the flight to the airbase Hamim in Syria, where deployed Russian viagraprice. The Board delivered the components of the arms, which then should be transported to Russia for maintenance. The publication points out that it violates adopted by the UN security Council in 2015, resolution 2231.
