The FSIN will verify the information on the alleged beatings and torture of prisoners in a single cell-type facility (EPKT) a corrective colony (IK) № 31 in Krasnoyarsk. On Wednesday told reporters the head of the Federal penitentiary service in Krasnoyarsk region Nikolay Vasilyev.

According to Vasilyev, the test will be conducted in a short time, within ten days. “If there are facts that deserve a legal assessment, the deadlines will be extended”, — he added.
The chief regional GUFSIN has noted that EPKT designed for isolation of prisoners, which is the most malicious violators of the detention regime. “This category of convicted persons, adversely affecting the bulk of the inmates, many of them support and spread the so-called thieves ‘traditions”, — said Vasilyev. According to him, the people indicated in the treatment of human rights defenders, sentenced for particularly serious crimes: terrorism, robbery, murder.
