Less than half of the heads of the Russian regions — 32 of 85 — there are no pages in social networks. This is evidenced by the results of monitoring conducted by the youth wing of the Russian popular front (onf), writes “Kommersant” on Wednesday, August 9.
Several senior regional officials are present in the nominally social networks, but do not store their accounts. In particular, the governors of Primorsky Krai and Khabarovsky Krai Vladimir Miklushevsky and Vyacheslav Shport, the head of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko.
The most active of the popular front called the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, who has pages in all major social networks. On his page in Instagram, in particular, signed by over 2.8 million people. In second place — the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov. The top ten also includes head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov, acting head of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov and Moscow region Governor Andrei Vorobyov.
However, the activists confirmed that the number of accounts and the heads of regions are members of the press services.
Member of the Central headquarters of the popular front, a state Duma Deputy Natalya Kostenko stressed that the social network — “full channel of communication”. “But keep in mind that different goals can be created to create fake accounts,” she said. The team of the popular front, in particular, found a fake page of the Governor of Samara region Nikolai merkoushkin with the address of mr.metadon (the name of synthetic drugs — approx. “Of the tape.ru”).
The youth wing of the popular front — a new structure in the public organization, officially it will be presented this month, said the newspaper.
On 27 July it was reported that the expert Council of journalists and bloggers in the Youth Parliament of the state Duma proposed to oblige state agencies to have pages in social networks.
