The government approved the project about a healthy way of life for Russians
MOSCOW, Aug 7 — RIA Novosti. The Russian government approved the passport of the priority project “Formation of healthy lifestyle”, which aims by 2025 to increase the proportion of Russians, committed to a healthy lifestyle, from 36% to 60%, according to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
It is noted that the passport was approved following the meeting of the Presidium of the presidential Council for strategic development and priority projects, held on 26 July 2017.
In the framework of the project is expected by the end of 2019 to increase the share of citizens committed to a healthy lifestyle, to 45% and by the end of 2025, up to 60%.

The initiative aims to increase the number of Russians who regularly engaged in physical culture and sports, to reduce tobacco consumption and to improve legislation on advertising associated with alcohol, tobacco and poor diet.
It is expected to increase the share of Russians regularly go in for sports, to 38% in 2019 and to 45% in 2025. It is also planned to reduce the share of smokers among the adult population from 30.5% in 2017 to 29.5% in 2019 and 27% in 2025.
In addition, the authorities intend to reduce the consumption of alcohol per capita with ten gallons in 2017 to 9.3 liters in 2019 and up to eight liters in 2025.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of health Veronika Skvortsova said that the project involves a special set of programs for the labelling of foods for their health benefits.
As emphasized at the Council meeting, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, more Russians to quit Smoking and try to stay healthy. In his opinion, people have to be motivated to the sport since childhood, so they will maintain this habit for life.
