The DPRK rejected the proposal of South Korea to normalize relations
TOKYO, Aug 7 — RIA Novosti, Ivan Zakharchenko. Foreign Minister of the DPRK ri Yong Ho, met in Manila with the South Korean counterpart Kang Kyong Hwa and rejected the proposals of Seoul to strengthen relations of the two countries, on Monday, the Yonhap news Agency.
According to the Agency, the meeting of the Ministers of the two Koreas was held in the framework of the regional Ministerial meetings of participating countries of the East Asia summit and the session of the ASEAN Regional forum for security (ARF).
“The South side is not enough sincerity”, — quotes the South Korean Agency the words of Lee Yong-Ho. He commented on the appeal of Kang Kyong Hwa to respond positively to the initiatives of the President of South Korea, moon Jae-In.
Earlier, the South Korean leader during a visit to Germany put forward the so-called “Berlin initiative”, proposing to resume talks between the military representatives of South Korea and the DPRK, as well as exchanges of red cross societies.
Following this, Seoul sent Pyongyang a specific proposal with the dates of the negotiations, which have already expired, meanwhile a positive response from North Korea has not been received.
