The UK is ready to pay up to 40 billion euros to pay off its financial obligations to the EU after withdrawal from it, reports the Telegraph, citing government sources. “Britain is ready to pay the European Union to 36 billion pounds (40 billion euros) on the so-called account for Brexit. Senior officials in the government concluded that the proposal, which first sounded the exact figure, is the only way out of the current impasse in the negotiating process”, — writes the edition.
