The CEC of the Republic of Karelia has registered seven of the eight nominated candidates for the position of head of the Republic.
Elections of the head of Karelia will pass in the uniform voting day on 10 September 2017. The Central electoral Committee of Karelia has completed the registration of candidates for the position of head of the Republic. Thursday at the next, 19th meeting of the election Committee, which was registered two candidates.
“Thus, as of August 3, in Karelia was seven out of eight nominated candidates to head the Republic of Karelia. The CEC of the Republic of Karelia decided to refuse to register the eighth candidate for the post of the head of Karelia Igor Alpeyeva nominated by electoral Association “all-Russian political party “People against corruption”, in the absence of documents required for registration of a candidate”, — stated in the message of the Republican Central election Commission.
In particular, the CEC of the Republic of Karelia has registered candidates for the position of head of the Republic: the acting head of Karelia Arthur Parfenchikov (United Russia), Evgeny Ulyanov (KPRF), Nikolai Tarakanov (“homeland”), Irina Petelava (“Fair Russia”), Eugene Beshenogo (LDPR), Elena Gnetova (“Party of Growth”), Olga Rukovo (“Patriots of Russia”).
In mid-February the President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed the decree about resignation of the head of Karelia Alexander khudilainen, the previously announced early resignation and appointed head of the Federal bailiff service (FSSP) Parfenchikov acting head of the region.
