Lavrov and Tillerson agreed to discuss relations between Russia and the United States in Manila
The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov and the head of the US state Department Rex Tillerson agreed during a telephone conversation “to discuss prospects for cooperation to resolve the” Russian-American relations during a meeting on the ASEAN forum on security. Negotiations of foreign Ministers, as said the representatives of Russian ministries, was held at the initiative of the American side. During this dialogue, Lavrov and Tillerson, according to the press service, discussed the situation on the Korean Peninsula and shared its assessments “in the context of the formulation of the reaction of the UN security Council for a missile launch by Pyongyang on July 28”.
