In Cologne, the accident occurred on the cable car, laid on the Rhine. One of the cabins for passengers crashed into a support.

The evacuation of the passengers, among whom were children, was successful. Two passengers — a man and a pregnant woman suffered minor injuries that do not threaten their health.

A week before the crash, says The Guardian, rescuers conducted exercises to evacuate passengers from the cable car.

The cause of the accident has not yet officially reported, we only know that at the time of the accident was a strong wind.

The work of the ropeway, reported on its website, suspended to determine the causes of the incident. A similar accident, the report says, was the first time in 60 years of operation of the ropeway.
