Vladimir Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow waited a long time for the improvement of relations with the United States. These words, the Russian leader said in an interview with TV host Vladimir Solovyov, the text published on the website Вести.Ru.
“We’ve been expecting, maybe something will change for the better, had such a hope that the situation will somehow change. But, apparently, if she will change, not soon,” — said Putin.
According to him, Moscow has repeatedly suggested Washington to establish cooperation, to ensure the interests of the parties. “Instead of starting to work constructively, we only hear groundless accusations of interference in the internal Affairs of the United States,” — said the Russian leader.
In addition, the President also touched on the sanctions imposed against the United States. “The American side made an unprovoked, which is very important step in the deterioration of Russian-American relations: unlawful restrictions on attempting to influence other countries, including its allies, who are interested in developing and maintaining relations with the Russian Federation,” Putin said.
July 28, the Russian foreign Ministry has announced that from 1 August the staff of the American Embassy in Moscow will not be able to use the dacha in Serebryany Bor, as well as warehouses on Road street in the capital. In addition, the Russian side has proposed September 1, to reduce to 455 people total number of staff employed in diplomatic missions of the United States in Russia.
Adopted by the Moscow measures were a response to the bill to toughen anti-Russian sanctions, which is approved by the U.S. Congress but not yet signed by President Donald trump. The document provides few restrictions regarding the possibility of funding for banks and oil and gas companies that are under sanctions.
