Putin signed a law on telemedicine
MOSCOW, 30 Jul — RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on telemedicine, providing for the discharge of electronic prescriptions and the possibility of providing medical care remotely.

According to the text of the law introduces the possibility of providing medical assistance with the use of telemedicine technologies, through consultation and consultation, providing remote interaction between doctors, doctor-patient or legal representative, as well as remote monitoring of the health status of the patient.
It is clarified that for the purposes of identification of participants plan to use a single system of identification and authentication, and information exchange to carry out with use of uniform system of interdepartmental electronic interaction.
The document stipulates the possibility of issuing prescriptions for medications, including those containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances, and prescriptions for medical products in the form of electronic document.
In addition, the implementation of patient consultation with a physician with the use of telemedicine technologies, that is remote monitoring of the patient’s health status by the attending physician after a face-to-face reception (examination, consultation), on the basis of data about the patient.
The law shall enter into force on 1 January 2018, 1 January 2019.
