The Kremlin has assessed the situation in the areas of de-escalation in Syria

In the Kremlin positively assess the situation in areas of de-escalation in Syria, said the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov. His words to the correspondent “Tapes.ru” on Thursday, July 27.

“Not without difficulties, but noted the positive dynamics where these areas have earned. Will continue work in two areas,” — said Peskov.

On 26 July the President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed the law on ratification of the Protocol to the agreement between Moscow and Damascus on the placement of the aviation group of the Russian Armed forces on the territory of Syria. According to the document, the agreement will be valid for 49 years. This provides for its automatic renewal for further periods of 25 years if neither party timely notified of the intention to terminate the agreement.

The agreement on the establishment of a de-escalation in Syria, was reached at an international meeting in Astana in the beginning of the month. They plan to organize in Idlib, North of HOMS, Eastern ghouta and in the South of the middle Eastern States. Also at the end of the G20 summit in Hamburg announced the creation of a zone of de-escalation in the area of Deraa, Quneitra and es-Sweida.

January 24 Russia, Iran and Turkey at the meeting in Astana agreed to establish a tripartite mechanism for monitoring observance of the truce in Syria.
