Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan rejected the concern of the U.S. regarding the purchase of a missile defense system s-400 from Russia, Anadolu Agency reports.

“Why should it worry? Each country needs to take certain measures to ensure their own security,” he said.

Erdogan also added that the negotiations for the purchase of s-400 “substantially” completed.

Earlier, the Chairman of the joint chiefs of staff Joseph Dunford during his speech at the security forum of the Aspen Institute stated that the purchase of Turkey-400 is a concern.

“There is an erroneous media reports. They did not buy air defense system s-400 from Russia. And that would be a problem if they did it, but that’s still not happened,” said Dunford.
