The Kremlin will refrain from assessments of the bill to toughen anti-Russian sanctions, which was approved by the house of representatives of the U.S. Congress, until it will have the status of law, said the press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov. His words to the correspondent “Tapes.ru” on Wednesday, July 26.

“The attitude to this will be formulated after a thorough analysis and decision of course rests with the head of state, President Vladimir Putin,” — said the representative of the Kremlin.

At the same time, he noted that in case the law came into force Russian-the American relations can deteriorate. “Now we can say that news is very sad”, he added.

When asked to comment on the appeal of the Russian senators to Washington to give a painful response to the new sanctions, Peskov reminded that the decisions of foreign policy made by the President. However, he noted that the reaction of the Parliament is quite understandable, since “we are talking about an extremely hostile manifestations”.

Earlier Wednesday, the head of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Konstantin Kosachev said that Moscow’s response in the case of the adoption by Washington of a new package of anti-Russian sanctions should be sensitive for the United States.

The Chairman of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky, in turn, also criticized the actions of the American side, noting that they undermine the possibility of restoring relations between the two countries.

July 25, the house of representatives of the U.S. Congress adopted the bill providing introduction of new sanctions against Russia, Iran and North Korea. If the document will be signed by the President, American companies and individuals are not able to lend to Russian banks for longer than two weeks. In addition, the document is limited to the term of financing of Russian oil and gas companies.
