Slavic deprived Kobzon the title of honorary citizen
At the session of the city Council of Slavyansk decided to deprive the singer and Duma Deputy Joseph Kobzon the title of honorary citizen, UNIAN reports.
Voted 23 deputies, two in voting did not participate.
From the explanatory notes that the initiative to deprive Kobzon the title of honorary citizen has received from local public organizations.
The artist was an honorary citizen of Slavyansk since 1999. To cancel the assignment of the title Kobzon was first offered in 2014. In 2015, the Slavic deputies refused to consider this question.
In March 2017, a special Commission has sent documents to the Prosecutor and security Service of Ukraine to obtain recommendations about the rank Kobzon.
In the draft decision of the city Council and the explanatory Memorandum of the Commission of the reasons for cancellation of the decision on assignment to Kobzon the title of honorary citizen of Slavyansk is not specified.
