The national archives released the documents related to the assassination of the 35th American President John Kennedy, including the testimony of a former KGB agent Yuri Nosenko about the main suspect in this case — Lee Harvey Oswald. Just published 3.8 thousand documents, more than 400 of which have been fully classified, and 3.3 thousand were published partially or in edited form. In addition, open access posted 17 audio recordings of the testimony of Nosenko, who fled to the United States after the Kennedy assassination.
“Nosenko claimed that when he was a KGB officer handled the case of Lee Harvey Oswald while he lived in the Soviet Union”, — stated in the message archive.
Document access was previously prohibited under the act approved by Congress in 1992.
Normative act required all Federal agencies to transfer to National archives documents relating to the investigation of the Kennedy assassination.
John Kennedy was shot November 22, 1963 during a trip to Dallas. According to the official version, the murder was committed by a lone sniper Lee Harvey Oswald. Debate about who killed the President of the United States, do not stop until now.
Nosenko was the son of the Minister of shipbuilding, graduated from University and joined the service in the organs of state security of the USSR.
