At the talks, Putin and al-Maliki discussed the supply of T-90 tanks in Iraq

SAINT PETERSBURG, July 25. /TASS/. The deliveries of T-90 tanks to Iraq was discussed on Tuesday in talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Vice-President of Iraq Nouri al-Maliki.

This was reported to journalists by the head of the Federal service for military-technical cooperation (FSMTC) Dmitry Shugaev.

“The issue was raised. Addressed all the current issues,” he said. However, he refused to answer the question whether there was adopted a decision on the supply. “We have a Commission that works for his plan. I will not comment on any details [on the topic of supply tanks], some nuances in quantity and so forth,” he said.

According to him, discussed “the current progress of existing contracts”. “In this regard, we have outlined solutions to the problems that always exist in the relations in military-technical sphere, it is not insoluble problems, current” – added the head of Department.

Shugaev did not comment on recent media statement by the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdagana that Ankara and Moscow signed specific documents in the framework of the agreement on the supply of Russian s-400.
