In the three years since the start of the conflict in the South-East of Ukraine, more Russians began to advocate for the support of the militia of Donbass and its independence. The results of research and comparative tables are presented on the website of the Russian center for public opinion research (VTSIOM).
In 2015 from 58 to 61 per cent increase in the proportion of respondents who believe that support for the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk national republics should not stop for the sake of restoring relations with the West and Ukraine.
For three years, almost twice that of those who advocate recognition of the independence of the DNI and LC from Kiev. This figure increased from 13% to 25%. At the same time, in January 2015 this opinion was expressed by 29 percent of respondents.
The share of supporters of maintaining neutrality and non-interference of Russia in Affairs of Ukraine since April 2014 has decreased from 45 to 35 percent, but these people more than in January of 2015.
The most popular answer to the question of what to do Moscow in terms of the failure of the Minsk agreements, to secure the peaceful settlement of the conflict remains the item “difficult to answer” (39 percent) and “do nothing” (19 percent).
With 2015 marked increase in the number of supporters of the “freezing” of the conflict and peace negotiations through concessions and financial costs at the expense of Russia — from 65 to 80 per cent. For the war to the bitter end, even at the cost of human casualties, at present 9 percent of the respondents, which is almost twice less than in 2015 (was 17%).
In addition, most (81%) of Russians support further aid shipments to the conflict at the expense of the state budget.
The poll conducted in early July by random sampling landline and mobile phone numbers of 1,800 respondents aged 18 years.
