At least nine senators to leave Federation Council on the results of regional elections that will be held in September. On Wednesday, July 19, reports RIA Novosti citing a source in the upper house of Parliament.

According to the interlocutor Agency, the Federation Council will take the former Deputy interior Minister Alexey Chekalin, a Senator from the Ryazan region Igor Morozov, a former Governor of Karelia Sergey Katanandov, now representing the Republic in the house and the Chairman of the Committee on international Affairs Alexander Totoonov. His place will be two-time Olympic champion, first Vice-President of Federation of wrestling Arsen fadzayev.

In addition, the upper house of Parliament to leave the senators from Mordovia Republic (Nikolay Petrushkin), Sevastopol (Andrei Sobolev), Krasnoyarsk region (Vladimir Kharlamov), as well as Kirov and Saratov regions (Oleg Kazakovtsev and Oleg Alekseev, respectively).
