Duma abolished the norm of free baggage allowance when non-refundable tickets
Moscow. July 20. INTERFAX.RU — the state Duma on Thursday passed in the third final reading the law, which, in particular, makes it unnecessary to carry free of charge baggage with non-refundable tickets.
For return tickets the amendments to the Air code the right to retain passengers to take their Luggage a minimum of 10 kg.
But non-refundable “may not provide” free Luggage stated in the law.
The carrier is also obliged to inform the passenger about the conditions of baggage and carry-on baggage when you purchase a ticket, noted in the law.
Provision is made for introducing a carrier, the free baggage allowance hand Luggage (in accordance with the rules approved by Rosaviatsia, based on the requirements of the operational documentation of the aircraft). The dimensions of hand Luggage must allow you to place it in the aircraft cabin.
Provides for the right of the carrier to the termination of the contract of air carriage of passengers unilaterally in connection with the refusal of passenger to pay carriage of baggage in the amount and on terms stipulated by the contract of air carriage of the passenger.
The law shall enter into force on the expiry of 60 days after the date of its official publication.
