MOSCOW, July 17. /TASS/. The agreement on ensuring the truce in southern Syria will not be canceled only because of fears of Israel, it would be wiser not to take up arms to this agreement, and to find ways to “live with it”, said the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Konstantin Kosachev.

As reported on Monday, the newspaper Haaretz, citing a senior source in the Israeli leadership, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the Jewish state is strongly opposed to the plan of Moscow and Washington on the truce in southern Syria, as it would allow Iran to expand its presence in the region. Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov later said that security interests of Israel, in the creation of a zone of de-escalation have been fully considered.
