Media: the Ministry of health is considering the idea of banning the sale of alcohol at the weekend
MOSCOW, 17 Jul — RIA Novosti. The provision on the ban on the sale of alcohol at the weekend may appear in the Strategy of formation of healthy lifestyle of the population which is being drafted by the Ministry of health of Russia, the newspaper “Izvestia”.
According to the newspaper, with the idea of a ban was made by the State research center for preventive medicine (NYCPM), Ministry of health, which believe that steps to combat the abuse of alcohol and prevention of alcoholism, the ongoing, is not enough.
As the paper explains, the draft Strategy developed by NYCPM the Ministry of health, in particular, States that public policy is not enough measures aimed at reducing the availability of alcohol by restricting and tight control of its retail sale at the place and time. “There are no restrictions on the sale of alcohol at the weekend”, — quotes the edition of the text.
