INTERFAX.RU — Deputies from the liberal democratic party proposes to ban interrupted with commercials TV shows, movies and radio programs that are broadcast on Sunday from 6 to 24 hours. The relevant draft law is submitted to the state Duma on Monday, told reporters in the press service of the LDPR faction.
The authors of the legislative initiative were the deputies of the LDPR faction, Deputy speaker of the state Duma Igor Lebedev, head of the Duma Committee on labor, social policy and veterans ‘ Affairs, Deputy head of the faction Yaroslav Nilov; the first Deputy head of the faction, member of Committee on information policy Vadim Denikin and the first Deputy head of Committee on natural resources, property and land relations Vladimir Sysoev.
The deputies propose to amend article 14 and 15 of the Federal law “On advertising” to introduce the ban.
In the explanatory Memorandum, they note that “today, advertising is increasingly interfering in a person’s life, driving them to conscious and unconscious levels, is already looking beyond the commercial interests and thereby imposing man of certain standards, and ideological ideas and views”.
Significantly, according to the authors, the fact that children are watching TV more during the weekend than on weekdays. They “should not be hostage to the business wishing to market their products through advertising at any price,” said the deputies from the liberal democratic party.
At the weekend people need to relax, including to be able to look for a peaceful transfer, documentary, feature films. And when they are periodically interrupted by aggressive advertising, this is not a vacation. Haunting commercials to remind people about different diseases, problems, just annoying.
