According to the newspaper, the fire area in the national forest of “Los Pardes” on Saturday was more than 17 thousand acres (about 7 thousand hectares). On Friday, the burning area amounted to 4 thousand acres (1.6 thousand hectares).
Suppression of natural forest fires is hampered by hot and dry weather, firefighters are working in difficult mountainous terrain. As reported, heat and drought will last until Monday.
