Jodie Whittaker becomes the first woman in the lead role of the series “Doctor Who”

TASS, July 16. British actress jodie Whittaker will be the 13th performer starring in the very long upcoming series in the history of British sci – Fi Saga “Doctor Who” (Doctor Who). On it informs TV channel bi-Bi-si, which will be a new part of the project.
35-year-old Whittaker will become the first woman in the role of the Doctor, an alien traveller in time and space.
In January 2017, the 58-year-old Scottish actor Peter Capaldi, who starred in the TV series in 2013, announced his departure from the project. Capaldi became the 12th actor who plays the role of the Doctor. He was succeeded in this role, Matt Smith.
