Reducing the number of lanes on the Garden ring in Moscow will reduce the number of accidents and traffic jams. It on a press-conferences on Friday, July 14, the head of the city’s Center of traffic organization (COD) Vadim Yuriev, reports “Interfax”.
According to him, the road “will become more linear,” which eliminates the conflicts and unnecessary rebuild.
“We have not only predictions on the movement on the Garden ring, but also a clear modeling. It remains to wait quite a bit, the Department of road construction is very rigid obligations to the city”, — said Yuriev.
The narrowing of the passage on the garden ring is one of the points of the program “My street” for traffic in both directions will be 10 lanes. Besides, there will be understudies from low-speed mode.
Renovation programme of the Garden ring was started in spring of this year, also involves relaying of communication, extension and improvement of pedestrian zones, including their landscaping. Until the end of 2017 it is planned to complete the work from 12.6 to 15.6 kilometers of the ring. As reported online edition m24.ru after the reconstruction of the highway exits will be easier, there will be new Parking spaces.
