The state Duma has proposed to separate the production of wine from other alcohol
The faction “United Russia” on the eve of 14 July, submitted to the state Duma a bill about the division of regulation of the production of wine and other alcohol, according to the data of the automated system of ensuring legislative activity. The decision about the necessity of such a law was adopted in may in the government.
The bill delineates the production of alcohol from grapes and ethyl alcohol. The explanatory Memorandum States that the General regulation of the production of wine and other alcohol “significantly hampers the development of the industry of viticulture and winemaking, complicates the application of existing law, supervision and control over observance of the legislation in this sphere”.
The bill, suggested by the authors will stimulate the development of viticulture in Russia.
The development of this industry will help to attract additional flow of tourists to the regions where wine is produced, and contribute to their economic development. At the same time, the authors of the document, it is necessary to divide the wine and spirits, causing serious injury. At the same time, the turnover of the wine will continue to be governed by existing legislation, along with other alcohol.
The law on wine in Russia discussed the meeting in Abrau-Dyurso under the chairmanship of Dmitry Medvedev in the end of may. The meeting proposed to recognize wine as an agricultural product, and then to transfer control of its production from the authority of Rosalkogolregulirovanie to the Ministry of agriculture. It was also proposed to allow advertising of wine.
