Strong wind, rains and hail are expected in Central Russia at the weekend
VORONEZH, 14 Jul — RIA Novosti. Rescuers warn about the wind speeds to 20 meters per second, thunderstorms, rains and hail in the regions of Central Russia at the weekend, reported the regional emergency Department.
Since the beginning of July in Central Russia has experienced unusually cold weather with lots of rain and strong winds. On Tuesday, rescuers were warned about the weather in five regions of the Central Federal district, on Wednesday — already in 11 regions.
“According Belgorod centre for Hydrometeorology and environmental monitoring, 15 July… rains of the Eastern region strong. Cloudy with a chance of hail… With thunderstorms gusts (of wind) to 15-20 meters per second”, — is spoken in the message of EMERCOM in the Belgorod region.
Sunday in the region are expected rain, thunderstorms and wind up to 17 meters per second. Same weather in the next two days is projected in the neighboring Voronezh region, and also in Ryazan, Tula and Yaroslavl regions. In the Smolensk region rescuers have reported rains and wind speeds of up to 14 meters per second.
Due to the bad weather increasing the likelihood of breakages of transmission lines and communication, disturbances in system utilities. A strong wind can cause the collapse labourales, large-format and shabby designs. It is also possible to increase the number of accidents on the roads, injuries among the population.
