The Turkish military reported the destruction of 11 Kurdish militants

The press service of the Turkish army reported the destruction of 11 fighters of the Kurdistan workers party (PKK), Reuters reports.

According to the military, major losses, the Kurds have suffered as a result of air force strikes in the province Mardan in the South-East of the country near the Syrian border. The pilots reported the destruction of two artillery positions and troop Kurdish rebels who were preparing to attack Turkish military.

Another airstrike occurred in the Hakkari province. There is the Turkish aircraft bombed the cave in which was hiding a Kurdish patrol, killing three members of the PKK.

Ankara considers the PKK a terrorist organization. Since 1984, the fighters of the PKK, waging an armed struggle for political rights of the Kurds in Turkey and the establishment of autonomy in its composition. The truce between the Turkish government and the Kurds was terminated in July of 2015. The reason for the resumption of the active phase of the confrontation was a terrorist attack in the town of Suruç, when 32 people were killed, mostly Kurds.
