Medvedev told about the methods of conducting the future population census
Three methods of data collection used in the future census of the population, said Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting on the issue, reports “Interfax”.
He said that the first method of census — remote, namely via the Internet, when Russians will be able to complete their questionnaire independently with a computer or smartphone.
The second method, according to Medvedev, will be that information about the population will be collected using “special tablets”. According to him, is “significantly” simplify the data processing.
Another method of data collection is a survey of the scribes, told Medvedev. They will come to people, get their answers and fill in paper forms, he explained.
“The work will be rather big,” he said. He recalled that “the time left is a little” and you need to consider the experience of the previous censuses, the latest of which took place in 2010. Medvedev noted that it is necessary to perform “the problems that arose early,” and strive to get the “most complete” and reliable data.
To conduct the census will take 50 billion rubles, reported in late June, the head of the Federal service of state statistics (Rosstat) Alexander Surinov. He said that it is planned to hold using the tablets and machine-readable documents.
